The Society has been established for the public
benefit in the area comprising the town of Farnham and its
surrounding area. Its objectives are:
To
arouse interest in and encourage the preservation of the best and,
where necessary, the improvement of the characteristic features of
the area.
With this objective it will represent and advance the views of the
Society membership to local, county and other authorities on matters
of town planning, highways and amenities.
To
encourage and enable the greater knowledge of, and interest in,
local, historical and architectural matters it will arrange lectures
and visits to places of interest.
